All children ages 4-7 are invited to a Pirate Story Book Adventure Saturday, Aug. 7, at Russell Park in Jefferson.
Junior pirates (aka children) will stroll in groups to various pirate-themed stations to complete a fun story. The first group will begin at 9 am, with the final stroll beginning at 10 am. All junior pirates who complete the voyage will receive a free book and a coupon for an ice cream cone.
Junior pirates must be accompanied by their captains (an adult).
There is no charge for the adventure, which is sponsored by the Jefferson Kiwanis Club, the Jefferson public library, and the Jefferson A & W Family Restaurant.
In the event of rain and/or stormy seas, the Pirate Story Book Adventure will be held at the Greene County Community Center.
